| A healthy, well-nourished citizenry is necessary to achieve sustainable economic growth. The impoverishing effects of illness and malnutrition are particularly evident among the under privileged in our community in particular and our country in general who do not have adequate access to basic health care services and proper nutrition. Thus, upon assuming office, the late Hon. Mayor Jose F. Diaz established a Lying-In Clinic at Barangay Gulod Malaya in his continuing commitment in improving public health programs, systems, and the delivery of basic health care services and facilities. |
| After being elected to office on May 2007, Hon Mayor Jose Rafael E. Diaz continued the legacy of the former Mayor, his father in providing affordable and sustainable health care to his constituents. |
